Double DIN Navigation on a 94

Not sure if this should be in the stereo section or the interior section, but anyway... ...Those who say it cant be done are wrong, because I can tell you that I'm not the first who has done it. Infact I have seen it done on a 2000. I will say though that my head unit installation was a bit different from everyone elses. But if I had the materials, it would have been as flush as stock.

It takes a little bit of work but it's not too hard once you get the wiring figured out. I upgraded from Standard Premium sound to Mach 460 AND 6 disc. I am pretty sure I got all the kinks figured out to install just about any Double Din Stock Ford HU in a 94-00.

Thats nice. Did it used to be yellow? I decided to install factory buttons (even though they sell blanks) One in the middle is a fog light, but since I already have a factory style fog light switch, I plan on wiring it for my interior lighting (since it has a light picture). The buttons on either side are defrosters, but I already have a factory defrosting switch, so these are going to be used for heated seats (since the image sorta looks like its for it)

I think it was I had gotten the Bezel off Ebay and it was pretty obvious it had been repainted. I had monkeyed around with that bezel so much the paint started chipping off here and there. I currently Modified it for a Different Factory upgrade. The Shaker 500!!  I'll have that up soon. I have to do a couple of tweeks to it and repaint the bezel but It looks nice Cheesy

Be sure to sand everything down to the yellow. To the plastic would be better. And before you paint, wipe it with alcohol to remove any grease and loose sand/paint. Good luck.

BTW, I also noticed you went with a 2001 bezel. For some reason the 02+ didnt come with fan adjusters. Apparently Ford forgot that sometimes people dont always agree with how hot/cold the inside of a car should be  Grin

LOL Yeah my Fiance likes to close those. Plus having the adjusters makes it more like the original ones I had.
